First, the hard (yet fun) part: choosing the right design. Before the advent of the Internet, parents did not have much of a selection among the various birth announcement designs. The only baby announcements available came in prepackaged sets that varied pretty much only with the gender of the baby. The Internet changed all that. The new mom and dad have literally hundreds of designs at their fingertips, designs announcing the arrival of a boy or a girl, multiple babies or an adoption.
